Accessibility Statement

Valorous Web LLC is committed to making valorousweb.com usable by as many people as possible, including people who rely on assistive technology such as screen readers, keyboard navigation, and browser zoom.

We build and test this site against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. The statement below describes the work we have done and how we keep it up. It describes our practices; it is not a legal certification.

1. Our Standard

We build this website to WCAG 2.1 Level AA — the same accessibility standard we hold client sites to. WCAG 2.1 AA is the practical benchmark widely used to measure whether a website is accessible. Meeting it is the goal of our work; it is a description of how we build, not a warranty of any particular legal outcome.

2. What We Have Done

Across the site we have worked to make sure that:

  • Pages use real headings, landmarks, and a single top-level heading, so their structure is clear to assistive technology.
  • A "Skip to content" link lets keyboard and screen-reader users bypass the header and go straight to the main content.
  • Everything is operable by keyboard, with a visible focus indicator on links, buttons, and form controls, and no keyboard traps.
  • Form fields have visible labels, required fields are marked in text, and errors are announced — never signaled by color alone.
  • Images carry descriptive alternative text, and decorative graphics are hidden from assistive technology.
  • Text and interface colors are chosen to meet WCAG AA contrast ratios.
  • Animations respect the "reduce motion" setting in your operating system or browser.
  • The page language is declared, and the site is available in English and Spanish.
  • The layout reflows and stays usable at 200% browser zoom, and does not disable pinch-to-zoom.

3. How We Test

We check the site with automated tooling (the axe-core accessibility engine) together with manual keyboard and screen-structure passes, run against a production build at both desktop and mobile widths, in English and Spanish. We re-check pages when we change them.

Automated testing cannot catch everything, so manual review is part of every pass. We treat accessibility as ongoing work rather than a one-time task.

4. Known Limitations

A few parts of the site rely on third-party components — for example, the spam-protection control on our contact form and our AI chat assistant. We choose these with accessibility in mind and configure them carefully, but we do not fully control their markup, so their behavior may vary. If any of these get in your way, please tell us and we will help you directly.

If you ever find content or a feature that is difficult to use with assistive technology, that is a gap we want to close — your report helps us find and fix it.

5. Feedback and Contact

If you have trouble using any part of this site, or you have a suggestion that would make it more accessible, we want to hear from you. We will do our best to fix the issue promptly and, where needed, provide the information you were after in another format.

6. A Note on Language

We describe this site as "built to WCAG 2.1 AA" because that states the work we actually did. We do not describe it as "ADA compliant," "certified," or "lawsuit-proof" — those are legal conclusions we cannot responsibly promise. Accessibility law is fact-specific, and a business with real exposure should speak with a qualified attorney.
